CAPP (College Application Planning and Process)
I generally begin working with rising seniors on their college application process during the summer break and into the fall/winter term. Together we research programs that offer a good academic and personal fit, build a dynamic college list, outline to-do tasks for the application process, and plan a working timeline.
The bulk of our work focuses on brainstorming, planning, drafting, revising, and polishing the personal statement, foundation essays, and supplemental essays. Additionally, we plan for standardized testing, letters of recommendation, preparing for interviews, and planning letters of continued interest.
Many students (and parents) also appreciate guidance in searching for scholarships and completing essays and other writing components of scholarship applications.
